Oral Surgery
Crown Lengthening, Implants, Wisdom Tooth RemovalAdvances in dental surgery and technology now allow us to do amazing things. We can replace a single tooth and even an entire mouth of missing teeth with implants. Telling someone that they’ll no longer need denture adhesive is one of the most gratifying experiences.
Implants
Dental implants are titanium fixtures that are placed in the mouth to replace missing teeth. Advances in implant technology allow for versatility in restoring missing teeth. Implants can be used to support individual teeth by using crowns or support numerous missing teeth with bridges (fixed) or dentures (removable).
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Wisedom teeth are the usually the last teeth to errupt in the mouth, and also the teeth that are furthest back close to the throat. Many times it is possible to maintain these teeth by regular hygiene visits and meticulous home care. When the position of wisdom teeth compromise healthy teeth around them or when wisdome teeth become decayed due to difficulty with cleaning, extraction is recommended.
Crown Lengthening and Cosmetic Crown Lengthening
Crown lengthening is a surgical procedure used to expose a greater amount of tooth structure away from the gum. This procedure is necessary in situations where there is deep decay on a tooth and a biological improvement in contour and position of the gum is required. This procedure can also be used to reduce the appearance of a gummy smile, giving teeth a long, slender, and naturally proportionate appearance.
